On the 27th October 2021, Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh visited Liberia’s largest Cement Production Factory and engaged the CEO of the Factory on a business bilateral relationship, to expand business investment to Sierra Leone.
VP Juldeh Jalloh and delegation toured the Factory facilities to inspect and get an insight of the factory’s operations. The VP was accompanied by the Internal Affairs Minister, Youth Minister, Deputy Minister of Political and Public Affairs, Resident Minister South, The Ambassador to Guinea and the Sierra Leone Ambassador to Liberia Edie Sidiki Masallay.
The Ambassador to Liberia, Eddie Sidiki Masallay since he was appointed, has been engaging the CEO of the Liberia’s largest Cement Factory for a proposed business investment to Sierra Leone.
In another development, the Sierra Leone’s Minister of Youths, and Deputy Minister of Political and Public Affairs paid a courtesy call on the Liberia’s Minister of Youth and Sport, Hon. Zeogar Wilson. In his opening statement the Sierra Leone Minister of Youth Affairs Mr. Orman Bangura said it’s high time Sierra Leone and Liberia established a cordial relationship between Youth in development programmes, that will help exchanging youth ideas and develop youth initiatives programmes. Minister Orman Bangura went on and said the youth are key players and they played pivotal role in nation building which will be important for both countries. It’s high time both countries develop youth empowerment and youth development programmes to expand the youth relationship and initiative for both countries.
In response, the Minister of Youth of Liberia, Zeogar Wilson thanked the Sierra Leone Youths Minister Orman Bangura and the Deputy Minister of political and Public Affairs for their visits to the Liberia with a welcoming message to his counterpart. He stressed that our relationship will purely focused on youth development programs.
The Liberia Minister of Youth, Mr. Zeogar Wilson promised that his Ministry will set up a strategic committee that will liaise with Sierra Leone and will be also responsible to bring up initiatives on how to design and develop specific and sustainable development programs for youths in both countries.
