A 27-member delegation, comprising 20 players and 7 officials, has departed Sierra Leone for Liberia to participate in the WAFU Women’s U-17 Regional Competition, scheduled to run from 15th to 28th September 2025.

The team is proudly led by Madam Haja Ramatulai Kamara, Female Representative on the Executive Committee (EXCO) of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), who will serve as Head of Delegation.

Supporting Madam Kamara is a dedicated team of technical and backroom staff responsible for preparing and guiding the players throughout the tournament. The 20 players, carefully selected after weeks of intensive training and trials, represent some of the most exciting and promising young talents in Sierra Leone’s women’s football.

The squad is expected to officially report in Liberia today, 15th September 2025, and travels in high spirits ready to showcase their skills, determination, and national pride. With discipline, unity, and focus, the players are committed to competing for top honors and bringing the trophy home to Sierra Leone.

This participation reflects the SLFA’s unwavering commitment to the growth of women’s football, particularly at the youth level, by creating opportunities for young girls to gain international exposure and experience through competitive platforms.
