Sierra Leone’s Abbas Gbla and Solomon Williams have departed the shores of the country to undergo six months of cricket curator training in Namibia as the FBC Oval Project reaches promising heights.

The training, sponsored by the Board of Cricket Sierra Leone Board, aims at building the capacity of both men to construct world-class cricket pitches, provide maintenance services, and train local curators.

The move is in line with Cricket Sierra Leone’s strategic cricket development plan 2025-2030.

The training is part of a six-month endeavour. The two will later proceed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a continued 4-month training.

Once completed, the two will join a team of experts from Nigeria, Namibia, and the UAE to construct the ongoing Fourah Bay College FBC and Sussex Cricket grounds.
