Amadu Conteh, a driver, and David Bangura, an operator, made their first appearance before Magistrate Adama Kandeh at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 4 on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, on two counts: conspiracy to commit a felony, and larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on 4th August 2025, during the evening hours at Regent Road, Lumley, Freetown, the two accused allegedly conspired with unknown persons to commit larceny.
The second count states that on the same date and location, the accused stole one roll of electric cable valued at fourteen thousand new Leones (Le 14,000), the property of Binta Bah.
When the charges were read and explained in court, both accused pleaded not guilty.
Sergeant 10261 Kargbo K, prosecuting the case, requested a short adjournment due to the absence of the complainant.
As a result, Magistrate Kandeh ordered that both accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown until the complainant is available to proceed with the matter.
The case has been adjourned to 28th August 2025 for further proceedings.
