Two individuals, Sitta Kargbo, an 18-year-old mason, and Alliyah Kanu, were remanded in custody after appearing before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 on charges of conspiracy, burglary, and larceny, contrary to Sections 25(1) and 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to court documents, the accused were involved in a burglary that occurred on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the back of Fadika Drive, Hill Station, in the Mountain Rural District, Western Area.
On Count One, it is alleged that the two, along with other unknown individuals, conspired to commit a crime.
On Count Two, they are accused of breaking and entering the residence of Kai Kamara with the intent to steal. Items reported stolen include: One 75-inch Vizio plasma TV, One M-Monster Bluetooth speaker, Two cutting machines, Several football boots and Other assorted valuables
The total estimated value of the stolen items is Le63,990, all of which were in the custody of Abdulai Jalloh at the time of the theft.
When the charges were read and explained, no plea was taken from the accused.
Detective Police Constable Kabie Kabba Thoronka, prosecuting the case, requested a short adjournment to prepare his witnesses.
Neither of the accused had legal representation in court. Based on the seriousness of the charges, Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that both be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to July 30, 2025, for further proceedings.
