Ola Wahid, a 27-year-old labourer, and Alimamy Kamara, 32, made their first appearance before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 3 in Freetown.

The duo faces two charges: housebreaking and larceny contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916, and receiving stolen goods contrary to Section 33(1) of the same Act.

According to police reports, on July 21, 2025, at No. 2 Lumley Street in Freetown, Ola Wahid allegedly broke into the dwelling of Remigius Okafor with intent to steal and unlawfully took a Tecno Pop 8 mobile phone valued at Two Thousand Five Hundred Leones (Le 2,500), the property of Kasia Kanneh.

The second charge states that on the same day, at Lightfoot Boston Street in Freetown, Alimamy Kamara knowingly received the stolen Tecno Pop 8 mobile phone.

When the charges were read and explained, the accused persons did not enter a plea.

Inspector Terencia Macfoy is prosecuting the case.

Magistrate Kallon adjourned the matter to July 30, 2025, for further hearing.
