Twenty year old Edith White a Nanny and Thirty-three years old Sallieu Bangura a security appear before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 Freetown, on two count charges, of conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law and Larceny by Servant Contrary to Section 17 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence both persons on Friday 7th June 2024, at B27 Sawi Drive off King harm Road, the western area in Freetown, conspired together with other person’s unknown to commit a crime to wit Larceny by Servant.
On count two both accused on the same date and place being a servant employed by Doctor Mustapha S Kabba stole the sum of twenty thousand United States dollars ($20,000) equivalent to four hundred and eighty thousand Leones, property of the said Doctor Mustapha Sundifu Kabba.
When the charge was read and explained to them, no plea was taken.
The prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai sought for a short adjournment date for him to lead his witness.
The defence lawyer M.Y Conteh renewed his previous bail application on behalf of the accused persons.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura granted the accused bail in the sum of five hundred thousand Leones each with one surety in like sum.
Surety must be resident in the western area, surety to produce valid identity card depicting his or her addresses in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar, adjourned the matter to 22nd August 2024.
