Two Committed to High Court for Alleged Housebreaking and Larceny

Michael Kefala Conteh and Mohamed Peterson Kabbia have been committed to the High Court to stand trial following their arrest for conspiracy, housebreaking, and related offences.

According to the particulars of the offence, between Monday, June 2nd and Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at Hill Street, Ibo Town, Waterloo, Conteh allegedly conspired with unknown persons to commit a felony housebreaking and larceny.

On the same date and location, Conteh is accused of breaking into the residence of Mohamed Saadu Massaquoi and stealing several items, including one 14-inch orange solar plasma television with memory stick valued at Le9,800, one black power bank valued at Le300, one pair of black crop shoes valued at Le600, six assorted cotton lamps valued at Le500, one free-to-air decoder valued at Le600

one pair of black slippers valued at Le120 and cash amounting to Le8,300.

The total value of the stolen items was estimated at Le20,820, all property of Mohamed Saadu Massaquoi.

In a related charge, Mohamed Peterson Kabbia was accused of receiving stolen goods. The prosecution alleges that on June 2nd, 2025, at White Stone, Waterloo, Kabbia knowingly received the stolen plasma television, fully aware that it was the property of Massaquoi.

Inspector T. Macfoy led the prosecution’s case and presented witnesses during the preliminary investigation. Upon conclusion, the case file was withdrawn for ruling.

Delivering her ruling, Magistrate Kallon stated that after reviewing the evidence presented, she was satisfied that the prosecution had established sufficient grounds for the matter to be committed to the High Court.

As a result, both accused persons were formally committed to the High Court for trial.
