Traders at Fenton Road in Bo are still calling on the Bo City Council to ensure a regular cleaning of Fenton road where waste are deposited before taken to dumping fill site at Mile five along the Bo-Yele Road.

Speaking to A-Z Newspaper, the traders said that there had been delay in the clearing of the wastes at Fenton road and that regular cleaning is good to ensure a healthy environment.

The Public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Traders Union in Bo, Sheku Tejan  Marrah has said that they have always encouraged their traders to clean the market and deposit the wastes at Fenton road, where council has asked them to deposit them.

He however said that its unfortunate to note that there is delay to clear the waste and they have received several complaints from their members at Fenton road that the delay to clear the wastes is making the traders very uncomfortable as the waste produces offensive ardour.

The traders, he said are paying their taxes to council and they are expecting the council to give them quality service.

Reacting to the allegation, wastes collectors at Fenton road said that, what was responsible for the delay was that the road leading to the dumping site at mile five was cut-off but it is now motorable and assured the traders of no more delay to clear the wastes at Fenton Road.
