Tourism Minister’s Ramadan Gesture Reaches SLPP Head Office, Visits Tourism Development Initiatives

Madam Memunatu Pratt, the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has extended her Ramadan humanitarian gesture to the Sierra Leone People`s Party (SLPP) head office at Wallace Johnson Street in Freetown.

The Minster made the Iftar donation on Friday 14th April 2023.

The donation which included 20 bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil was received by the party`s Secretary General Umaru Napoleon Koroma with multitudes of SLPP supporters happily staring and cheering.

Madam Pratt gave account of fulfilling such an important obligation to the SLPP head office every year since she was appointed as a minister of government.

She said Ramadan is a blessed month in the Islamic Calendar and called on people to treat one another as brothers and sisters.

“This is the time to pray for ourselves and relatives and for peace, stability and prosperity to prevail in Sierra Leone”, she pointed out.

She invoked her Islamic origins by revealing that her father is a Muslim and further states that she has many Muslim backers but only becomes a Christian due to matrimonial reasons.

The tourism minister implored on all present at the gathering to pray for President Bio and support his development agenda.

“Let us hold ourselves together, after the party wins, the president will continue with his development trajectory and do great things for Sierra Leone”, she discloses.

On the same day, the Minster visited and inspected the Royal Fitness gym at Lumley Beach.

Madam Pratt was awed by the first-class facilities in the gym that any tourist from anywhere in the world would like.

Later on, she also visited an entertainment site that is currently undergoing construction at Levuma Beach.
