THREE IN POLICE NET FOR STABBING TO DEATH A NINETEEN YEARS OLD BOY IN KONO

At least three people are in police net for allegedly stabbing to death a nineteen (19) year old boy Michael Ellie formerly of Bambakunayah Town in Nimiyama Chiefdom, Kono District.

The police suspects include: Sahr Mattia, Abdul Kargbo A.K.A M.Y.4 and Augustine Sombie A.K.A Delta.

According to the investigator of the said matter, Alhaji Ibrahim Lahai, the said incident occurred when the suspects hired the Okada which the deceased was in control of so that he can take them to the next town after Bambakunayah. The police investigator pointed out that whilst the deceased was riding, one of the suspects Augustine Sombie who had a knife by then allegedly stabbed the deceased on his chest form the back. According to police investigation, the deceased prior to his death had misunderstanding with one of the suspects noting that he was looking for such opportunity so that he can revenge. However, the prime suspect of the reported stabbing to death matter; Augustine Sombie is presently at large whilst the remaining two suspects who were arrested under the influence of drugs are in police custody helping them in their investigations.

In a separate but similar development police at the Criminal Investigations Department at the Motema Police Divisional Headquarters in Nimikoro Chiefdom, Kono District are investigating at least three people for riotous and disorderly behavior and violation of the Covid-19 precautionary measures in Kangama town, Kono District. This is according to one of the Criminal Investigations Department Officers attached to the Motema Police Divisional Headquarters in Nimikoro Chiefdom, Kono District.

Alhaji Ibrahim Lahai said the three suspects Foray Miripeh, Kai Lebbie and Komba Charles Lebbie were arrested for the aforementioned crimes or offences when they organized a traditional dance to observe a funeral ceremony thereby forcing peaceful citizens in that part of the district to abandon their homes for unknown places which has so many security implications. The police investigation further maintained that another man identified as Aiah Kpakima was also arrested for insulting the Paramount Chief of Kangama Ngorama Chiefdom P.C. Kono-Bundor who earlier stopped what was carried out by the three people who are in police custody describing their actions as lawless amid the covid-19 pandemic as nobody has the right to break the existing Covid-19 precautionary measures. Meanwhile, owing to the disrespect meted out on the paramount chief, Aiah Kpakima is said to be responding to treatment because of the reaction of some youths who saw him misbehaving on the paramount Chief of Kangama Ngorama Chiefdom, Kono District.
