Three In Court For Constructing Property Without Permit

Mohamed Bah, Abdulai Kamara and Ishmael Yebo appeared before Magistrate Kekura at the Ross Road Court for building without building permit.

Mohamed Bah and two others were arraingned before Magistrate Kekura on Monday 9th 2023 for the offences of trespass, and building without building permit contrary to law.

The police say the accused, Mohamed Bah, Abdulai Kamara and and Ishmael Yabo on Friday 25th August, 2023 at off Masorie Mathelly Road  Masantigie, in Waterloo, entered at Kelleh Augustine Bambia’s land of the same address having been warmed not do so.

The charge sheet further alleged that the accused, Ishmael Yabo and Mohamed on Saturday 26th August 2023 in the same place in Waterloo were founding building alleged without permit from the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country planning.

According to the police file, the land in question belongs to Kelleh Augustine Bambia who is currently residing in the United States of America.

The report was filed in by Eugene Hamilton Reubenes on behalf of Augustine Bambia.

Led in by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Osman M. Bangura, prosecution witness (PW) 1 Eugene Hamilton Reubenes residing at No. 22 Fitzs James Street Regent on the outskirts of Freetown said he recognised the accused and could recall Friday 25th August, 2023.

He said he was at Masantigie Village on the said land.

At this stage, the police prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP Osman M Bangura sought for an adjournment for him to have proper conference with his witness.

Responding Magistrate Kekura granted the prosecution’s application.

The accused are still on bail and the matter was adjourned to 19th October, 2023 for further examination in chief.
