Three Dragged to Court for Conspiracy to commit a Crime

Foday Mansaray Foday Conteh, and  David Koroma made their first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba on Pademba Road Court No.2 on two count offences of conspiracy and larceny contrary to law.

Police alleged that on the 3rd December 2021 at York Village peninsular in Freetown, Foday Mansaray and the 2 others conspired together with others unknown and stole

420 cement each valued 50 thousand all total valued at 6 million property of Ibrahim Jalloh whilst in the custody of Alpha Sesay.

When the charges were put to them they pleaded not guilty.

Led in evidence by sergeant 10980 Newstead F H, first prosecution witness (PW1); Alpha Sesay recognize the accused persons and recalled on the aforesaid date whilst at home he saw a big truck entering into the compound of Ibrahim Jalloh and upon that, he went in there to know what might be the issue and upon his arrival, he met the accused loading the alleged bricks into the trucks. PW 1 said he interrogated them and said they were sent by one Michael Jalloh.

PW1 added that he called one Ibrahim and informed him, and upon informing him, he alerted the police who arrived at the scene and arrested the accused who were taken to the Tokeh police Post and later the accused were taken to the Adonkia police station together with the trucks.

At the end of his testimony, PW1 was cross examined by the accused that were not legally re-presented.

The accused were admitted to bail in the sum of 30 million each plus 1 surety in like sum that should provide prove of residence in Freetown. The bail condition shall be approved by DAR. The matter adjourned to the 21st December 2021.
