Abubakarr Bangura, Olufemi Williams, Hindolo Lamin, and Abubakarr Kargbo made their first appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown on three counts: conspiracy contrary to law, store breaking and larceny contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act, 1916, and receiving stolen goods contrary to Section 33(1) of the Larceny Act, 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Crab Town, Lumley, Western Area, Freetown, the defendants allegedly conspired with other persons unknown to commit store breaking and larceny.

The second count stated that on the same date and location, the defendants broke into the store of Kadie Bull and stole eighty cartons of assorted tiles, half a ton of 5/8 iron rods, and other assorted items, with a total estimated value of Le 65,260, property of Kadie Bull.

The third count alleged that the defendants received sixty cartons of assorted tiles, valued at Le 18,000, knowing them to have been stolen property belonging to Kadie Bull.

When the charges were read and explained to the defendants, no plea was taken.

The prosecutor, Inspector Mabel M. Tarawally Esq., presented witnesses, after which the file was withdrawn for ruling.

In his ruling, Magistrate Jah stated that, based on the evidence presented, the prosecution had adduced sufficient grounds to warrant committing the matter to the High Court for further trial. The defendants were remanded to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown without bail.
