Three defendants Emmanuel Senesie, Kindo Kamara, and Emmanuel Sampha Kabia have appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at the Pademba Road Court No. 1, where they pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and larceny. The defendants are currently awaiting judgment.
The accused were arraigned on three counts, including conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law, larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916, and receiving stolen goods contrary to Section 33(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the charge sheet, on Friday, 28 November 2025, at College Road, Goderich, in Freetown, Emmanuel Senesie and Kindo Kamara conspired together to commit the offence of larceny.
The charges further state that on the same date and location, the two accused stole fifty (50) drums of Lubrex lubricant oil valued at fifty thousand United States dollars (US$50,000), equivalent to One Million Two Hundred Thousand New Leones (NLe 1,200,000). The stolen items were the property of Masmak Mining Company and were reportedly in the custody of Madam Harriet Turay at the time of the theft.
The charge sheet further alleges that the third accused, Emmanuel Sampha Kabia, between 1 and 30 September 2025 in Freetown, received two drums of Lubrex lubricant oil valued at two thousand United States dollars (US$2,000), equivalent to Forty-Eight Thousand New Leones (NLe 48,000), knowing them to have been stolen. The items were also the property of Masmak Mining Company.
After the charges were read and explained to the defendants, they each pleaded guilty to the offences.
Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah adjourned the matter to 28 January 2026 for judgment. The defendants were remanded in custody pending the court’s decision.
