Twenty-nine years old Abdul Rahman Sannoh a carpenter made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on diverse date between September to October 2024 the western area in Freetown did steal twenty rubber Dulux trade paint all the total sum of fifty-five thousand eight hundred Leones (55,800) Property of Lucinda Small.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty.
The accused person was not legally represented. Therefore, he pleaded with the magistrate to temper justice with mercy on his behalf.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person, he was a first time offender and he did not waste the court time. However, Magistrate Kekura sentenced him to two years imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown or pay a fine of three thousand Leones to the state.
