Detective Sergeant 9823 Turay B from Central Police Station on Friday 10th February 2023, testify before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Court No 2 of Pademba road, Freetown, in a conspiracy and larceny matter that took place at Parliament involving three accused persons Vandi Sheka Office assistant to the Speaker of Parliament Dr.Abass Bundu, Gbassay Sesay first year student at UNITECH and a bike rider Samuel Abu Bakarr Kamara.
According to the testimony of the Police witness, he said on Monday 12 September 2022, a team of Detective Officer including Chief Superintendent (CSP) Adama Fefegulah and her team with complainant Mohamed Yusif Turay visited the Scene of Crime at Parliament.
And the team went to the Office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Solomon Segepoh Thomas which they asked for footage of the CCTV camera that captured the scene of the crime, and the footage was transferred into a memory stick and handed over to the exhibit clerk for safe custody.
The exhibit was tendered and marked exhibit C. which was displayed in Court. The witness went on to say he obtained statement from the complainant.

It could be recalled that all three accused persons are charged on 2 counts ranging from conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law and larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, all three accused Vandi Sheka, Samuel Abu Bakarr Kamara and Gbassay Sesay on Monday 12th September 2022, Parliament, Tower Hill, Freetown, conspired together and with other person’s unknown to commit to wit larceny.
Count 2 states that all three accused persons on the same date and place stole one blue TVS motor bike with registration number AUB 824 value fifteen million Leones, property of Mohamed Yusif Turay.
The accused is in custody, whiles the matter is adjourned to the 20th February 2023.
