Saidu Bah Conteh on Monday 28th March 2022, appears before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown, for allegedly stealing quantity of Copper Cables valued over one hundred thousand Leones.
The accused Sheku-Bah Conteh is charged with a count of Larceny Contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet, the accused Sheku-Bah Conteh on Wednesday 26th February 2022, at the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) Sub Station Bo town, in the Southern part of Sierra Leone, stole quantity of Copper Cables valued one hundred and forty seven million three hundred and sixty thousand Leones, property of EDSA.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded not guilty However Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of five hundred million Leones or one surety in like sum surety must be elderly and responsible citizen the surety must produce valid identity card depicting his/her address in Freetown bail to be verified by the Bench and approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar matter adjourned to the 4th of April 2022, ASP Ibrahim Sheik Mansaray is Prosecuting the matter.
In another development Abdul Kamara, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on a count of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm Contrary to Section 47 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861.
According to the charge sheet the accused Abdul Kamara on Friday 13th August 2021, at Tokeh Village, Peninsula Road, Freetown, assaulted Thomas Nabie in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
The charge was read to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.
However Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of ten million Leones or one surety in like sum surety must be elderly and responsible citizen the surety should produce valid identity card depicting his/her address in Freetown bail to be verified by the Bench and to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar Sergeant 9155 Dwight McCarthy prosecuting the Matter adjourned to the 5th of April 2022.
