The Crime Officer attached to the Kimbadu Police Station, Tankoro Chiefdom – Kono District Detective Inspector Mohamed Bandabla has told our correspondent that crime rate in his operational area is relatively low.
According to him, prior to now the following crimes were on the increase at the aforementioned police station: house breaking, burglary, larceny of phones among many others but owing to what he described as professional policing the said crimes have been the thing of the past in their operational areas noting that frequent community stakeholders engagement is responsible for the present peaceful status of the Kimbadu police station.
Detective Inspector Bandabla however pointed out that although the aforementioned police station is relatively quiet assault and other minor crimes are reported at the Kimbadu Police Station of which the personnel attached to the aforesaid police station can peacefully and professionally handle well in order to maintain the much talked about police integrity in Kono District and the country as a whole.
He thanked their commanders at the Tankoro Police divisional headquarters in Koidu city for the quality supervision they normally provide when necessary and promised to do their best. Detective Inspector Mohamed Bandabla further expressed dismay over the lack of mobility for them to access far to reach areas when crimes do occur.
