Teach for All, a global network of independent nonprofit organizations operating in 60 countries, collaborates with seven other organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa. The organization is dedicated to fostering collective leadership and ensuring that all children have access to education to fulfill their potential.

During her first visit to Sierra Leone, Kopp commended President Bio for the significant advancements in the educational sector, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to strengthen the foundation in the country.

President Julius Maada Bio welcomed the Teach for All team, highlighting the government’s dedication to developing human capital despite facing challenges such as the launch of the free quality education initiative and the subsequent COVID-19 pandemic.

President Bio likened Sierra Leone to a society facing hardships but affirmed the government’s determination to overcome educational challenges as a means to lift people out of poverty. He stressed the importance of education as a key enabler for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and expressed satisfaction with the early collaboration with Teach for All in his human capital development journey.

She highlighted the successful recruitment, training, placement, and support of 400 university graduates from diverse fields to teach children in hard-to-reach communities. Saidu praised the transformative teaching model and expressed pride in supporting the government through collaboration with the ministries of education.
