In the early hours of Friday 08/10/2021, a dutiful and committed Police Officer, Pc 12909 Kpakiwa Aiah presently attached to Octea Mining Company arrested one Charles Songu Briwa in possession of a pistol but without ammunition.
PC 12909 Kpakiwa – A, an OSD Officer stated that at about 06:30 hours on today’s date Friday 08/10/2021, he received a phone call from his brother Tamba Kamanda that Augustine Mondeh caretaker of a building under construction at Sukudu town was under attack by thieves.
He (PC 12909) immediately rushed to the place but did not meet the attackers at the scene, but traced the route they took and intercepted them and demanded to search them as their appearance was very suspicious.
As he was about to search one of the suspects Charles Songu Briwa with the help of some youths, his other colleague ran away. However, one star pistol was discovered concealed underneath the coat, Charles Songu Briwa was wearing.
From that point, I seized the bag from him and brought the suspect to Tankoro police divisional HQ with the exhibit. The magazine of the said pistol was empty. Below are photos of the suspect, exhibit and arresting officer.

In a similar vein, the Ops team of Tankoro police division is presently engaged in a robust raid within the city of Kono and its environs in order to identify and arrest potential criminals.
The team arrested ten suspects namely: Joseph Momoh, Abdul-Karim Jalloh, Osman Jalloh, David Momoh, Sahr Quee, Tamba Gborie, Hassan Sesay, Ibrahim Komanquee, Emmanuel Mbayoh and Mohammed Fabundeh who are in police custody helping with investigations. They committed various criminal offences ranging from Loitering, Frequenting, and Gambling etc. The raiding is to continue unabated.
