Sierra Leone Sports Writers’ Association (SWASAL) has on Friday 5th November, 2021 awarded Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) in a ceremony held at the bank’s Head Office, Siaka Steven Street, Freetown.
The award was in recognition of the numerous supports of SLCB in promoting the sporting disciplines especially football all the years in Sierra Leone.
SLCB, the undisputed leader in the banking industry in the country recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
The partnership agreement signing saw the bank announce a cash sponsorship package to SLFA to the tune of seven hundred and fifty million Leones (Le750M) for the upcoming African Nations Cup tournament slated early next year.
Receiving the award, SLCB Acting Managing Director, Bockarie Kalokoh expressed gratitude to the association on behalf of the management and staff of the bank.
He further highlighted the numerous supports the bank has rendered in promoting football including the sponsorship to SLFA for the AFCON 2021.
He called on the association to help publicize the bank’s Leone Stars Cashbox “PUT AM DAE” promotion.
He said that the promotion would give opportunities to both old and new customers to win a free fully paid trip to watch AFCON in Cameroon in a raffle draw.
