History has once again been made in a place where we thought warriors are born, and tigers are meant for battles with the election of Salifu Salito Samura, commonly known as Fokos as their Paramount chief-elect.
He was living in the United States of America and came back home some seven years ago to serve his people in and out of Falaba district. He is a lecturer and Head Of Department of public health department at the University of Makeni.
Chief Samura on 8th of June 2021 was elected as the newly crowned Paramount chief of Sulima chiefdom in the Falaba District, after a four year leadership vacuum.
The election came out to be a nail biting one where in Gberia Timbakor, a major town with high population density and one of every candidate’s stronghold pulled-out of the electoral process.
At the end Mr. Salifu salito Samura emerged victorious in the run off by commanding 292 out of 480 votes.
