29yrs old Mariama Dalanda Bah a Student collapse in court over alleged insulting conduct against the President of Sierra Leone Retired Brigadier Dr Julius Maada Bio. The accused person made her first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on one count charge to wit insulting conduct.
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 16th June 2022 at No.1 Easton Street off Fourah Bay road the western area in Freetown did use abusive and insulting words against the President of Sierra Leone his Excellency Julius Maada Bio with intent to demean him.
The matter was mentioned in court while the accused person and her relatives were outside court on their arrival in court the accused person was helpless she could not stand and was asked to sit on the bench for few minutes. She collapsed at the time the prosecutor informed the court that the accused person was admitted at 34 hospital and was later handed over to her relatives.
However, Magistrate Kekura handed over the accused person to her relatives and the matter was adjourned to 5th July 2022 for further hearing. Sergeant 9155 Dwight Macarthy prosecuting the matter.
