The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially launched the CAF C Diploma Coaching Course as part of its ongoing commitment to developing football across the country.
The three-month programme, which combines both theoretical and practical sessions, is designed to equip local coaches with modern coaching techniques and methodologies in line with the standards of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The course is being facilitated by CAF Instructor Keatu John Smith from Liberia, working closely with SLFA Technical Director John Keister to deliver comprehensive training to participants.
The opening ceremony was attended by SLFA President Babadi Kamara, who urged participants to take the programme seriously and remain fully committed throughout its duration.
“Football development begins with well-trained coaches. This course lays the foundation for the future of our football. I encourage you all to remain disciplined and focused, as the knowledge you gain here will help shape the next generation of players in Sierra Leone,” President Kamara stated.
The initiative underscores the SLFA’s continued efforts to strengthen grassroots football and enhance technical standards nationwide.
