Sierra Leone’s Ambassador-designate to Belgium, Mr. Philip Bob Jusu, met with Ms. Emily Wigens, EU Director of the ONE Campaign, and Mr. Christian Wijnroks, Campaign Coordinator, at the Sierra Leone Embassy in Brussels on Wednesday, 28 May.
The ONE Campaign is a global advocacy organization dedicated to achieving a just world by promoting investments that foster economic opportunities and healthier lives across Africa. Its vision is for Africa to become an equal global player, with widespread prosperity and thriving communities.
Ambassador-designate Bob Jusu shared that he has been following the organization’s work for over three years and observed a diminished presence in West Africa. He expressed a keen interest in exploring opportunities for renewed engagement and support in the region, particularly in Sierra Leone.
Welcoming the prospect of collaboration, Ambassador-designate Jusu remarked, “I want this to mark a new dawn in the relationship between the ONE Campaign, the Embassy, and the Government of Sierra Leone.”
