Star Sport Academy FC will clash with Freetown City Council Football Club today at the Football Academy in Kingtom.

Following their first defeat of the season against Old Edwardians FC last weekend, Star Sport Academy FC is eager to bounce back and secure a victory in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League. Today’s match is crucial for them as they aim to return to winning form.

On the other hand, Freetown City Council FC comes  into this match after a 1-1 draw against Mighty Blackpool FC.

This highly anticipated encounter sees both teams vying for all three points after the final whistle. The management of Star Sport Academy FC has provided substantial motivation ahead of the clash, as they seek to reclaim the top position in the league, currently trailing Bai Bureh Warrior FC by two points.

Head Coach Amidu Karim expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, noting that all players are fit and free from injury ahead of the match.

Freetown City Council FC’s head coach, Ibrahim P. Conteh, echoed this sentiment, stating that his players are in good shape following strong training sessions, with no injury concerns.

In other matches today, Abacha City Football Club will host Bullum Stars FC at the Approved Schools playing field, kicking off at 4:15 PM. Both teams are looking to secure three points; Abacha City comes off a loss against Kenema, while Bullum Stars recently achieved a victory over Diamond Star FC.

On Saturday, Wilberforce Strikers FC will host Old Edwardians FC at the SLFA Academy. Old Edwardians is coming off a win, making this match a pivotal encounter for both sides.

Also on Saturday, Luawa FC will face FC Kallon at the Approved Schools playing field in a highly anticipated showdown, with both teams aiming for victory.

At Wusum Field in Makeni, Wusum Stars FC will entertain Bo Rangers FC in another crucial match, as Wusum seeks to regain home advantage while the Rangers aim for their second consecutive win.

On Sunday, Freetonians SLIFA will welcome Bhantal FC at 4:15 PM, looking to return to winning form after two consecutive draws.

The Sierra Leone Premier League will continue on Monday with Port Authority FC facing league leaders Bai Bureh Warrior FC at the Approved Schools playing field.
