Over eighty Sierra Leonean pastors have been privileged to go through under a standard edifying Biblical training about the value of the gospel and it interpretation by a programme organized by U.S mission base called “Spread of Grace Foundation Biblical Ministry” in partnership with local base Ministry The Lord Mission Church.
Speaking to this Medium the Executive Director of SGM, Pastor Mike Miosi says is a great privilege to spread God word across Africa and coming to train Pastors in Sierra Leone to know the bible in a different context is a greater privilege for him and his team. He said, they are fully compelled to commit themselves to preach the word with the truth gospel and they are here to equip, help, teach pastors to help them make huge differences in their lives and the lives of their congregation.
He furthered that many pastors today have not been privilege to go through a proper training which made them not to understand the revelation of the word; and that why they came to recruit faithful committed men to spread the word of God in the right interpretation according to the instructions of God command. Among the teachings they will help pastors to understand is the: Knowledge of the True Gospel, The Church and the Work of the Pastor’s, The Nature of the Ministry, The Nature of the Bible, The Nature of the Holy Spirit, The Nature of Pastoral Ministry and so many more. According to Pastor Mike Miosi such training for Pastors is going to be for four years which will enable them to be able to produce men and women of God with the right sense of direction and understanding of God word. With such equipped training they are qualified to be men of the word with deeper understanding.
The host Pastor and General Overseer of the Lord Mission Church, Rev Hassan Mansaray admonished that this is a great opportunity for Pastors across the Country which enable them to be opportune to have a wider deeper knowledge of the word of God. He said the word is needed at this particular time more so when people are going through lots of stress and frustration and by this training Pastors will have the privilege not to mislead their member’s but help them to love and understand God better.
He encourages others pastors across the nation to grab the opportunity and make used of the privilege available.
A participant of the Programme Pastor Timothy says he feel so blessed and humble that he was chosen to be among the few pastors to learn more about the mystery of God words and it wonders. He believed that with such training he will be able to make lots of changes in the lives of his members and equip them with the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
