The Southern Region Football Association Super ten competition second rounds is set to continue in the week ahead, this is according to the Public Relations Officer of the Southern Region David Lebbie.
He noted that after a meeting held with the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Thomas Daddy Brima with key stakeholders in the region, the second round of the Super Ten League is set to commence.
He said the key bottleneck that prompted the league to stop has been resolved and that a resolution has been reached by participating teams which the clubs are going to agree with and failing they will have themselves to blame as only four teams will have to represent the region in the nationals.
He affirmed that after the successful meeting with stakeholders and clubs it has been agreed that the Super Ten competition will continue with or without funding.
Mr Lebbie said six of the teams have the full backing even if there is no funding from the region did not give they see money to play the second round they are to complete the second phase of the Super Ten League in the Southern Region.
It could be recalled teams in the region logged a formal complaint to the parent body SLFA that the league that is supposed to play for two legs has been halted with communication from the Southern Region Football federation and this promoted the President and his executive members to speedily address the issue once and for all.
The Southern Region has one team that is representing the region in the Topflight of the Sierra Leone Premier League. With the National play-offs where they will be two teams representing the Southern Region.
