In a strategic move aimed at bolstering economic growth and innovation, CEO Samuel Shaka Sannoh of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDA) led a high-level delegation to engage with one of Africa’s largest entrepreneurship hubs in Sierra Leone.

The visit underscores a proactive approach by SMEDA to foster a conducive environment for business development and economic empowerment in the country. By collaborating with established entrepreneurial hubs, the government agency seeks to leverage best practices, drive knowledge exchange, and implement effective strategies to support emerging and existing entrepreneurs.

Such initiatives hold the potential to drive economic diversification, create job opportunities, and stimulate innovation across various sectors of the Sierra Leonean economy. By aligning with the government’s agenda, the collaboration aims to address key challenges and opportunities within the entrepreneurship ecosystem in a cohesive and impactful manner.

The delegation’s engagements are expected to yield tangible outcomes, including the implementation of supportive policies, provision of resources and guidance for entrepreneurs, and facilitation of access to funding and markets. Furthermore, the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the entrepreneurial hub and local stakeholders is anticipated to enhance the capacity and resilience of Sierra Leone’s entrepreneurial community.

This initiative exemplifies a proactive stance toward driving positive change and creating an environment conducive to entrepreneurial success in Sierra Leone, aligning with broader national development goals.
