People in Deep Water, Devil Hole, Yams Farm and other communities in the Western Rural District have expressed their satisfaction and willingness to vote for the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in the Presidential, Council and Parliamentary elections this Saturday coming.

Residents of Deep Eye Water received an entourage of party stakeholders who invited them to explain about what the party can offer. The Parliamentary candidate for the west district, Iyamide Langley together with the District Chairman, Constituency Chairman, and the Campaign Coordinator have categorically explained to rural dwellers about the contents of the party manifesto.

According to the Campaign Coordinator who doubles as the Constituency Imam, Nabieu Bunduka, said the party is highly welcomed and appreciated by those in the rural district. He said the message is widely accepted and the people believe the SLPP will transform and transform the country in its second term. He said the executives there have done their homework well which is why there have been a series of defections from the main opposition All People’s Congress Party (APC).

He recalled that in the 2018 election, the SLPP had a tight race with the APC in the Western Rural District, noting that the support base of the party amongst rural dwellers has heightened due to the work of the party executives whom he said are having sleepless nights for the sake of victory.

“It is not a dream but a reality that President Bio will defeat Dr Samura by bagging about 87% of the total votes cast”, Bunduka challenged opposition parties.

He said the President is appreciated for the human capital development he focuses on right through as a firebrand politician, adding that His Excellency will have to be thanked through the ballot box by giving him a second term.

Candidate for a Council seat under the SLPP, Mohamed Lama Bah joined Madam Langley to cajole residents of Deep Eye Water to vote for the party so that development will reach their doorsteps.
