The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) Media officer in Makeni Division Osman Kamara in a press briefing informed Journalists that they have arrested five Kush dealers and they are currently in Police custody.
According to ACP Brima Kamara upon the information gathered the police immediate invaded the scene by the Operations Team.
He said that the team of police officer conducted raids within Makeni municipality at grey areas arrested the following suspects and exhibits, Abu Bakarr Sillah – Twenty Two (22) wraps of “KUSH”, Fatmata Kalokoh – Twenty (20) wraps of KUSH and Six (6) parcels of Tramadol, Lewis Kanu – Eighty (80) Wraps of KUSH, Six (6) parcels of Cannabis Sativa and Thirty Three (33) parcels of Tramadol, Mary Turay – Forty (40) Wras of Cannabis Sativa and Desmond Pratt – Ten (10) parcels of Tramadol.
He added that all of the suspects arrested reside at various addresses in Makeni City, adding that Police reported that whilst on their routine patrols within Makeni Municipality including various grey areas, the above named suspects were found in possession of large quantities of drugs such as “Kush, Tramadol, and Cannabis Sativa” which were unlawfully possessed as alleged.
He said the suspects and exhibits are in the custody of the Police for further investigation at Rogbaneh Police Station – Makeni Division.
