The Acting General Secretary of Sierra Leone Football Association, under the leadership of Thomas Daddy Brima, has on 7th October 2023 announced during the closing ceremony of the National play-offs that the FA is determined and in readiness to play 10 competitions this season.
According to Mohamed Benson Bawoh, the Federation will support the Premier League, both male & female, Div 1 & 2 ( men), Div 1 (women), FA Cup, Youth League, girls (U15 & U17) and Youth League, boys (U12 & U14) for the 2023/2024 Season. He informed the gathering that the FA is doing everything humanly possible to start these competitions between November – December, 2023
Bawoh emphasized the FA’s willingness to transform football despite the enormous challenges they are currently faced with.
“The FA is working towards having a football calendar that will see all our competitions play concurrently” Benson added.
To support these initiatives, the Acting General Secretary called on the people of Sierra Leone to support these strides and continue to work with the FA for a better football for our country and to be patient with them as they are trying to get it right.
