The Sierra Leone Football Association has on 10th March 2026 completed the second module of the ongoing Confederation of African Football (CAF) C Diploma Coaching Course has successfully concluded, marking another important step in the development of football coaches in Sierra Leone.

Organized by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), the course brought together aspiring and active coaches from across the country who have been undergoing intensive theoretical and practical training as part of CAF’s coach education program. The second module focused on key areas of modern coaching, including player development, tactical understanding, training methodology, and effective match preparation.

Throughout the module, participants engaged in classroom sessions, group discussions, and on-field practical exercises designed to enhance their coaching knowledge and skills. The training is aimed at equipping coaches with the technical and professional competence required to develop football at both grassroots and elite levels in line with CAF standards.

At the conclusion of the second module, participants and CAF Instructor Keatu John Smith from Liberia reflected on the progress made so far, highlighting the commitment and enthusiasm shown by the coaches throughout the course. The program continues to play a vital role in strengthening coaching capacity and promoting professional development within the Sierra Leone football ecosystem.

Following the completion of this phase, the participants will now proceed on a short recess, after which they will reconvene in April for the third and final module of the CAF C Diploma Coaching Course.

The final module will provide the remaining technical sessions and assessments required for participants to complete the program and obtain the CAF C Diploma certification, further contributing to the growth and professionalism of coaching in Sierra Leone football.
