The Sierra Leone Football Association has on 10th January 2023 in a Press Release confirmed that it is set to organize District and Regional Elections across the country for District members Associations.
According to the Press Release from the Federation, it reads that the Executive Committee has mandated the SLFA Electoral Body headed by Oluniyi -Robin Coker to immediately commence the conduct of Elections at the Regional and District Football Federation across Sierra Leone in a bid to regularize their leadership status.
It forwards that the Elections are expected to take place within the first quarter of this year which shall lead to the statutory SLFA Ordinary Congress in the second quarter of 2023. The details about the proposed Electioneering Process will be announced by the Electoral Committee.
The Elections for the Districts and Regional Elections have long overdue and some of the Association President have passed away there is only now acting some District Football Associations Offices are not functional and there is a need for some of the members to renew their mandate as Officers.
Thomas Daddy Brima has confirmed that the Sierra Leone Football Association through the Ethics Committee to conduct those elections across the Country.
