SLFA Retrieves Official Facebook Page from Hackers

The Sierra Leone Football Association has retrieved and regained full control of its Official Facebook page which was recently hacked by unknown cybercriminals.

It could be recalled that the Facebook page has been hacked for the past three weeks.  The page has some vital information about the activities of the Football Association, following its hacking, the Senior National Team updates ahead of the crunch tie against Nigeria was a beat challenging for the media team.

 The Association thanked the IT department and other partners who work relentlessly to retrieve the page for the general public.

A press release from the Sierra Leone Football Association says the Official Facebook page has been retrieved and assures the public that the page is going to be secured strongly and safe from cybercriminals.

The release apologizes to all Football loving Fans for the inconvenience it has caused.

This page is playing a vital role in updating the Public on vital information about football activities from the Football Association and the public relied on it to give important messages ahead of the Crunch tie against Nigeria on 18 June 2023 at the S.K.D Stadium, the last two matches page was used for streaming matches.

The page is been used to do live streaming, Press Conferences, Seminars, and training organized by the Sierra Leone Football Association.
