Sierra Leone Football Association has on the 3rd August 2022 releases dates for the National Play-Off across the Country.

The Press Release from the Competition department at the Sierra Leone Football Association states that it is pleased to announce that the 2022 National First Division play-off has been slated as follows.

It furthered that the national play-off will kick start on the 12th to 22nd August 2022 at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni and Kenema City field respectively.

 The full fixtures of said competition will be released on the 4th of August 2022, through the official SLFA Media Channels, as ten first division teams are set to compete for three (3) spots in the 2022/23 Sierra Leone Premier League season.

Lamin Tarawallie the public relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Football Association said the ten teams are going to be sheared into two groups and five teams are going to play their matches in Makeni while the Kenema City field is going to host five teams.

He affirmed that the playoffs are going to be playing around Robby and the 1st position and the runners-up from each group will qualify for the Semi-finals and 1st position in group A will play runners-up in group B same applies to group B.

 He furthered that the two losers in the semi-finals will play each other for the third lots this is how the national Play-Offs is going to be played.

Southern Region

Edmond Michael Foundation, one Spot more to be decided

Eastern Region

Freetown United FC

 One spot to be decided Kahunla Rangers or Gulf FC

Northwest Region

Great Scarcies

Lamboi FC

Northeast Region

Bambali Sherbora

Sahid Conteh

In another development, the Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Association has made four appointments to further strengthen the functions and activities of the Football Association.

1. Musu Pele Bangura has been appointed as the Technical Officer of female Football

2. Abu Gbanaloko Kanu has been appointed as the Technical Officer of Youth Football

3. Abu Sankoh has been appointed as the Technical Officer

4. Sanpha Hassan Kamara has been appointed as the competition Officer.

The appointees are expected to start work immediately.
