The Sierra Leone Football Association has held a two-day seminar for the Women’s Premier League coaches, secretaries, and match Assessors ahead of the kick-start of the Female Premier League in the Country.
The seminar is taking place in Sierra Leone Football Association Secretariat in Kingtom we’re all the twelve clubs have their respective on the seminar. Key among other things are going to lectures are the runs and regulations of the first ever competitive Female Premier League in the country.
Asmaa Kamara James the Chairman of the Sierra Leone female Premier League said they held a series of engagements with the 12 premier League clubs, and they have done verification with the clubs which is very difficult for the female Premier League board, of paying visitation to players, stakeholder’s parents of the players, and playing venues as well. This is the third process the board has undertaken to train the coaches, Secretary General of the 12 clubs.
She appreciated the representative from the 12 premier League clubs being part of the training and called on them to take it very seriously because this is the first time an elite female competition is about to play in the country; the previous female competitions have been Gala competitions and not a standard elite female Premier League, noting that they the board want to make history this time.
Madam James made it clear to the 12 female premier League that if they have any issues they need to channel their concerns to the board secretariat for quick actions to be taken and that they should not listen to anyone who is not part of the Premier League.
Madam Haja Ramatulai Kamara the head of Female Football started by thanking the 12 Premier League clubs for taking part in the training. She noted as the head of female Football wishes that the upcoming Premier League should leave a legacy in the history of Sierra Leone’s football.
The first-ever female Premier League will commence in two weeks as 12 Premier League clubs are set to participate.
