SLFA Commences 10  Days  Training For Referees & Assessors

The Sierra Leone Football Association in partnership with FIFA has on the   5th of  May 2023,  commenced a ten-day training course for Assessors and Elite Referees at the Sahara Conference Hall in Bo City.

About 50 male and female match officials selected from across Sierra Leone are to  benefit from this year’s FIFA Member Association Course, which is aimed at improving the technical and instructional refereeing in Sierra Leone.

The opening ceremony was witnessed by the Chairman of the SLFA Referees Committee Alhaji M. A. Sesay, Vice Chairman Dr. P. K. Moana, Chairman of the Sierra Leone Football Referees Organization (SLFRO) Alhaji Sanusi Rashid, and Assistant Chairman of the Southern Region Football Association Alimamy Sartie.

The FIFA MA Course is being facilitated by former AFCON and FIFA World Cup Referee Prof. Lim Kee Chong An Yan (Technical Instructor) and Veteran Referee Ephraim Mark Mzengo (Fitness Instructor).

The Federation is committed to working towards  empowering  its Referees and Assessors to meet International standards.
