The Sierra Leone Football Association has announced the date for the long awaiting Ordinary Congress that is held every quarter of the year.
In Press Release the Sierra Leone Football Association said the Public is informed that the year’s Ordinary Congress has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday 5th July 2023. And the details pertinent to the upcoming Congress will be Communicated later.
The said Ordinary Congress has been a cry by the membership, and the Ordinary is the highest body where the membership can agree or disagree on some pertinent issues within the Football Association.
It could be recalled that since Thomas Daddy Brima took Office in June 2021 this is the first time he is calling for an Ordinary Congress and some of the Executive Committee have stated that it is time for the President to take his Executive Committee to an Ordinary congress, but key some of the delay where the regional Elections have not to be held and some of the membership within the region their mandate has expired.
When the membership meets at the Congress level it is there where they can take decisions and amendments are done and makes reforms as it stands unless the regional elections climax before the Executive can go in for Ordinary Congress.
