The Youth Ambassador representing Sierra Leone in Sweden Mohamed Conteh has dragged Alhaji Bangura before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Ross Road Court No 3 in Freetown, for duping him thirty there million Leones.
The accused Alhaji Bangura is before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh on a count of obtaining credit by fraud other than false pretenses contrary to section 13 (1) of the debtors Act 1869.
According to the charge sheet, Alhaji Bangura on Thursday 18th August 2022, at No. 23 Fatta Rahman Street, Mount Aureol, Freetown, incured debt or liability to Mohamed Conteh obtained credit with the sum of thirty three thousand Leones (Le33, 000) from the said Mohamed Conteh by means of fraud other than false pretenses.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.
There was no representation for the accused he was sent to the male correctional center in Freetown.
The matter is adjourned to the 21st November 2022, DSP Fatmata Kuyateh is Prosecuting the matter.
In another development school pupil Joe Kamara made his first appearance before the same Magistrate on a count of Larceny Contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet, the accused Joe Kamara on Saturday 29th October 2022, at No. 3 Philips Street, Wellington, Freetown, stole one pair Air Nike shoe valued six hundred thousand leones, property of Sylvin Rogers.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty
Meanwhile, Magistrate Daboh refused bail and adjourned the matter adjourned to the 21st November 2022.
