Sierra Leone’s U-20 (Shooting Stars) held their first training session on Tuesday 12th July, 2022 at the SLFA Football Academy with 50 invited players from premier league clubs across the country.
Head coach, Ibrahim Sillah admonished players to be studious and focused as this is a national side that requires lots of self-esteemed, patience and sacrifice for the love of the country, adding that the task ahead is enormous. “We should be ready to face that task with a positive approach”, he said.
He pointed out that players should put up their very best in training, saying the team will serve as a pillar to the national side.
SLFA’s Vice President 2, Ali Badara Tarawally visited the training session and engaged the team after the exercise.
He disclosed that he was impressed with the turnout of players, adding that this has shown the level of commitment amongst them in pursuing their dreams, and that SLFA has created the platform for them to showcase their talents.
He admonished them to be self-discipline and exhibit respect for their coaches and authorities.
