46yrs old Ikubolaje Nicol the General Manager at Skye Bank made his first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Conspiracy to Murder, Contrary to Section 4 of the offences against the Person Act, 1861, Murder and perverting the cause of justice Contrary to law.
According to the particulars of offence on diverse dates between the 15th to 16th October 2022 at Leicester village the western area of Freetown conspired with other persons unknown to Murdered Sinnah Kai Kargbo; on count three at the same place and date knowing well circumstances leading to the death of Sinnah Kai Kargbo did on the 17th October 2022 and other days thereafter fabricated evidence with intent to pervert the cause of justice.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and no plea was taken.
The State Prosecutor team was led by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP, Easmon N B Ngagui, and other State counsel Aruna Jalloh, H.M Bockarie, Yusif Isaac Sesay, and two others represented the state.
The DPP Easmon N B Ngagui said they’ll not wait for the defence counsel Roland Wright Esq; he seeks a short adjournment date.
Magistrate Mark Ngegba said the allegations against the accused person are serious, therefore, he refused bail and adjourned the matter to the 30th November 2022 for further hearing.
