Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Dr. Julius Sandy, has officially received the Chief Justice of Sierra Leone and Chairman of the ECOWAS Judicial Council, His Lordship Justice Komba Kamanda, along with his delegation, at the Sierra Leone High Commission office on Mission Road, Diplomatic Zone, Abuja.
During the visit, the High Commissioner warmly welcomed the Chief Justice and his delegation and introduced members of his diplomatic staff.
The Sierra Leone High Commission in Nigeria plays a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and the Federal Government of Nigeria, as well as six other accredited countries: The Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Niger, Benin, Cameroon, Angola, and the Central African Republic.
In his remarks, the Honourable Chief Justice expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the High Commissioner.
“Thank you for being kind to us; we are truly grateful for your support,” he said. “From the day you received us at the airport, you have been with us every step of the way.”
Justice Kamanda informed the High Commissioner that while his visit would be brief, it includes key engagements with the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the National Judicial Institute, Mohammed Bello Centre.
Accompanying the Chief Justice were Honourable Justice Mangeh Fana Deen Tarawally (JSC), Honourable Justice Fatmatta Bintu Alhadi (JSC), Honourable Justice Tonia Barnett (JA), Honourable Justice Khalila Diana Kamara (J) and Elkass Sannoh, Director of Communications.
