Sierra Leone’s Adama Finda Borway Named Top 10 Finalist for 2025 Global Student Prize

Adama Finda Borway, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and gender equality, has been named one of the Top 10 finalists for the prestigious Global Student Prize 2025.

Her selection places her among an elite group of young changemakers competing for the $100,000 award, and she is notably one of only two African finalists in this year’s global competition.

Currently a first-year student of Medical Laboratory Science at the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), University of Sierra Leone, Borway’s impact extends far beyond her academic pursuits. She is the founder of the *She-Empowerment League, a youth-led organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women through education, skills development, and leadership training.

In her broader advocacy efforts, Borway also serves as Sierra Leone’s Global Representative on the She Leads Global Girls and Young Women Advisory Board, where she champions the inclusion of girls and young women in national and international decision-making processes.

Her recognition as a Top 10 finalist for the Global Student Prize not only celebrates her individual accomplishments but also shines a spotlight on the untapped potential of Sierra Leonean youth on the world stage.
