Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association’s newly Elected Executives will today meet with Coaches and Stakeholders at 26 Jones Street by Robert Street to map out plans ahead of the qualifiers.
Oness Abayomi Johnson the President of the Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association said the meeting with the coaches is for them to discuss plans for the upcoming events for the year 2023, as the Qualifiers for the Africa Games, Zone two, Olympic Games, and other games are around the corner and the coaches and Stakeholders need to seat together and map out plans for those upcoming events.
He affirmed that the cooperation of all coaches and Stakeholders is highly needed in the meeting, noting that they need put plans and schedule training for the potential athletes that will be going for the qualifiers and to plan for the local competition that the Association wants to host in the coming months, there are also plans of upgrading the various coaches and athletes as well.
He further that after the Elective Congress last year, the Executive is yet to meet with the entire body, so the Strategic meeting with the membership is timely to move the sport to gain it recognition it deserved as an enviable sport in the Country.
Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association has over the years bring Laurels back home in their last Zone two tournament, and there has many trainings for level one and two coaches across the country.
