Report states that Sierra Leone has recently received at least an additional Five Thousand one hundred and fifty metric tons of fuel. The report maintained that prior to the arrival of the said additional fuel the country had at least five thousand one hundred and eleven metric tons of fuel.

With the arrival of the additional fuel the country now has at least ten thousand two hundred and sixty one metric tons of fuel to lay to rest the reported fuel scarcity.

However, the report stated that although the country has enough fuel; people still find it difficult to access transportation and commodities at reasonable cost which to certain extent is viewed by critics of the SLPP led government as a way of the central government ignoring its fundamental responsibilities.

Some of the residents of Koindu City who spoke to our correspondent on the issue blamed the Ministries of Trade, Transport and Aviation for not being up to their constitutional responsibilities and as a result transport fare and prices of commodities are steadily increasing on a daily basis at the detriment of the common people.
