The Sierra Leone Premier League Board has on 28th March 2023, met with premier league clubs at the PLB’s Secretariat in Kingtom. The meeting attracted board members as well as representatives from the 18 Premier League teams.
The august meeting looked at issues surrounding the first round of matches and also brought forward ideas as to how to make the game better in the second phase of the league. Key to this was how to attract funding for the successful completion of the league, match venues, and improve security arrangements for the second phase of the league.
In the meeting, it was also agreed that the deadline for the transfer window is extended to April 14, 2023. And a new date for the commencement of the second round was also proposed, which is slated for April 15, 2023.
As it stands Premier League Clubs are currently busy buying players to add to their squads ahead of the second round of the league, the board has also released rulings of match protests from the first round of the league.
