Fondly known as “Ivorian Sillas,” Sillah was visibly emotional upon receiving the surprise award, which recognized his non-profit initiatives aimed at promoting national development and curbing the growing rate of substance abuse among Sierra Leonean youth a crisis officially declared a national emergency.

Mohamed Bangura, SLNUG Secretary for External Relations, praised Sillah’s tireless efforts, noting, “This award honors your unwavering commitment to national development and for safeguarding the country’s future workforce by combating substance abuse.” He also commended Sillah for extending his awareness campaigns to Sierra Leoneans living in Guinea and for his consistent support of SLNUG activities.
