The Sierra Leone Women’s U-17 National Team has officially departed the country ahead of their crucial first preliminary round clash against Ivory Coast in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Filled with determination, confidence, and national pride, the young Lionesses left shores with one clear mission to represent Sierra Leone with honor and fight for qualification on the continental stage. The team has been in high spirits following weeks of intensive preparation under the guidance of the technical team.
Leading the delegation is the Head of Women’s Football, Haja Ramatulai Kamara, whose presence adds experience and strong leadership to the traveling contingent. Her role is pivotal in ensuring the team remains focused and well-supported throughout the journey.
The players and officials also received warm send-off messages from the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Babadi Kamara, as they embark on this important assignment.
Sierra Leone will be aiming to secure a positive result in the double-header encounter as they continue their quest for a place at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
